  • Powerful AES-256 bit encryption, no data stored on device; no subscription fees; relatively simple plug and play; attractive, compact design; replacement dongles available if lost; 2 year limited warranty.
  • Limited to two computers; both ends need to be switched on and online; hardly environmentally friendly; expensive USB device can easily be mislaid or lost; transfers limited by ISP's bandwidth restrictions; will be overkill for many causal computer users; no Linux support.
  • At around £90, iTwin isn't the cheapest way of sharing content over the internet and will likely seem over the top for anyone who occasionally needs to share files between computers or users. That said, business users and those with sensitive data should...

  • A beautifully made product which lets you securely share files across computers but at a smidge under £100 it's an expensive solution, made worse by the fact that it's the equivalent of £64 in the US. A great idea then, let down by the price and a few sof...

  • iTwin is a clever dongle-based, password-free online file sharing service. It isn’t for everyone, but if you can live with its limitations it’s a good buy ...

  • Secure, Well-made
  • A bit expensive, Alternative methods are plentiful
  • The iTwin does what it sets out to do well, connecting two PCs over the web securely, irrespective of their position in the real, living, breathing world. However, the fairly high price and functional limitations of the technology - primarily having to ha...

  • Very easy to setup and use. Excellent security. Provides file-sharing and remote access.
  • Easy to lose second half of dongle. Significantly affects network speed. No Mac support
  • iTwin Connect takes a hardware approach to secure Web browsing via a VPN service and can be treated as an alternative to setting up a VPN server. A USB device with heavy-duty encryption built in, iTwin secures those wandering users who need secure remote...

  • Extrait:  It’s time to take a look at the iTwin, a device that in just a few simple clicks, a web connection, and a push into your USB ports will connect two of your computers together for shared storage. Once you own an iTwin, you do not have to pay any additio...

  • While the security of the iTwin device might make it attractive to some Mac owners, I found it to be very awkward in its implementation and quite "PC-like." Frankly, I prefer the ubiquity of Dropbox, which uses SSL and AES-256 encryption both for trans...

  • Extrait:  This USB driven device was developed to be able to allow you to remotely move files from one computer to the other without using the cloud or actual USB stick. The way it works is you plug one end of the iTwin into one computer, set up a password and crea...
