The Asus Taichi 21 offers a clever implementation of a dualscreen design in a slim Core i7 chassis.
Only one of the screens is touchenabled, which feels like a major oversight. There are probably only a handful of situations where you'd need an outwardfacing display
More of a clever proof-of-concept than a practical product, the Asus Taichi still delivers on its basic promise, combining two displays for a unique take on the laptop/tablet/hybrid genre....
Dual 1080p screens, Bang & Olufsen audio, Comfortable, backlit keyboard, 256GB SSD, Windows 8
Average battery life, Only 4GB RAM, Dim screen, Huge price tag
Asus has elevated itself to such a position that we are genuinely excited whenever a new product appears in its lineup. In the case of the Asus Taichi, our excitement is completely justified. It's a completely different approach that, if not for Windows 8...
Easily use it as a notebook or as a tablet, Dual Full HD screens, Solid build and firm keyboard
Top-heavy design, Can get noticeably warm, Touchpad not great

The ASUS Taichi is an innovative device that can be used either as a laptop or as a tablet. It has two screens, both of which are Full HD and based on IPS technology, and it will be available in Intel Core i5 or Core i7 configurations...
Extrait: Lisa Gade compares the Asus Taichi 21 and the Sony VAIO Duo 11 Windows 8 convertible tablets – Ultrabooks. They're similarly priced and have 11.6″ full HD 1080P IPS Gorilla Glass displays, Intel Core i5 and i7 ULV CPU options, fast SSD drives and backlit ...

Stunning premium design, Useful accessories in package, Fantastic performance, Good screen quality on both tablet and laptop mode, Huge touchpad to perform Windows 8 gestures easily, Nice speaker output
Mediocre battery life, 4GB RAM not upgradable, No SD Card slot, WHY?, Awkward dual screen operation
quote_right]We love the concept of it – dual full HD screens that allows switching between tablet and laptop usage in a seamless way, beautifully designed hardware with powerful internals.[/quote_right]We have a love and hate affair with the ASUS TAICHI...
