  • iWork '09 isn't that much of an upgrade from its predecessor. However, it remains a slightly less powerful and flexible but nonetheless capable alternative to Microsoft's application package and is still cheaper to boot....

  • New animations within Keynote, iPhone and iPod Touch app for Keynote
  • Expensive at £69
  • The changes are not as exciting as those in iLife, but weve never created a snazzier presentation than when we used iWork

  • Interface tweaks make commonly used features more accessible, Eyecatching presentations are even easier to make, IWork apps play well together, with added interoperability across the suite
  • Still no businessgrade email client, IWork.com web component doesnt support true collaboration, No autosave feature
  • Intuitive interface design and easy access to useful features make iWork the best office suite choice on the Mac. Although it lacks some of Microsoft Offices advanced options, iWork 09 is an emerging powerhouse in its own right...

  • Extrait:  I use Keynote for training presentations where I work. I have had attendees tell me I have “raised the bar” with regard to presentations. I find Keynote much more flexible than PowerPoint, easier to use, with better transitions. I use Pages for all o...

  • Creates professional-looking documents with ease; simple user interface belies powerful features; fixes many shortcomings with iWork 08.
  • Some standard productivity suite features still missing; patchy Microsoft Office compatibility.
  • If you need to create professional-looking documents, but cant face the learning curve — or the cost — of Microsoft Office, then iWork 09 is an obvious choice at a bargain price. Limited Office compatibility makes it best-suited to environment...

  • Cheaper than Microsoft Office, Slick transitions for Keynote, Many attractive templates for all three applications
  • Few new features with this release, Minor formatting issues when opening files in Office, iWork.com will cost an extra fee when fully released
  • This latest version of iWork may not win many converts, as it’s not as feature-packed as Microsoft Office, but it should please current users and make getting work done on the Mac a little easier. It’s a decent improvement over the previous it...

  • Interface tweaks make commonly used features more accessible. Flashy, eye-catching presentations are even easier to make. iWork apps play well together with added interoperability across the suite.
  • Still no business-grade e-mail client. iWork.com Web component doesnt allow for true collaboration. The lack of an auto save feature is a particularly problematic omission we hope to see in future releases.
  • Intuitive interface design and easy access to useful features make iWork the best office suite choice on the Mac. Though it lacks some of Microsoft Offices advanced options, iWork 09 is an emerging powerhouse in its own right.
