  • PCI-Express SSDs are still quite expensive, but they also perform significantly better than SATA600 SSDs. A few years ago the additional price you paid for a high-end SSD barely gave you better performance due to the SATA600-bottleneck, but now the differ...

  • According to our tests, the Samsung SM951 (NVMe) is the fastest SSD available. It is even faster than the 950 Pro, while it is a lot cheaper as well. Bear in mind that you miss out on official Samsung support in the form of warranty, Magician and firmware...

  • The Samsung SM951NVMe should sell for less than the 950 Pro as resellers try to reduce inventory
  • The SM951NVMe has a shorter warranty period and a lower TBW rating than the 950 Pro
  • The Samsung SM951-NVMe is available today from RamCity and currently costs less than the 950 Pro. We hope to see more separation in pricing, which would make the SM951-NVMe a better value. Right now, the prices are too similar to make us choose the SM95...

  • Extrait:  The first generation of native PCI-Express SSDs arrived on the market this year, albeit a little later than expected. At any rate, some of these SSDs seem to live up to the promise of providing a faster interface. We tested SSDs by Plextor, Kingston, Sa...

  • Superior m.2 performance, excellent power management and higher compatibility than current NVMe products
  • Pricing and new to market availability (getting better)
  • The best all around SSD on the market today with nearly every box checked. You can use it in several Ultrabooks and any 9-Series chipset desktop without hassle. This level of performance is a luxury so expect to pay accordingly.£99.99 On AmazonMOREBest...

  • The Samsung SM951 512GB M.2 has a lot going for it; speed, small physical size and a good storage size. It has one thing that is not going for it, relative speed and perception. We really didn't notice that we had this in the build until we benchmarked it...

  • Speed Freaks: Fast; compact; great for laptops
  • Speed Limits: High price per GB; limited capacities; BIOS support for booting; OEMonly
  • The updated SM951 is a fast M.2 NVMe drive built for laptops, but make sure you meet the system requirements before you buy...
