  • Great packaging, Handy LED read-out, Multitude of connectors
  • Runs quite hot
  • The prize for best packaging goes to XFX by some way. Its clear, extremely simple and very easy to get into. It may not be much, but first impressions do count, you know. Plethora of connectorsThe board itself is a standard NFORCE 680i job. That means...

  • The XFX nForce 680i SLI motherboard is another great addition to the Intel-platform ecosystem and should provide a great backbone for any gaming or enthusiast system you might want to build. The features that it offers including support for the lates...

  • XFX will be a welcome addition to the motherboard market. If they continue the tradition of great service and support that they have with their video cards to their motherboard line, there will be no doubt that they will succeed in this dog-eat-dog ...

  • So there's no physical difference between XFX's board and any other motherboard partner using Nvidia's board design, but XFX's bundle is certainly stronger with a complete complement of cables that all comes in a pretty nice box. It seems funny to talk...

  • Exceptional Core 2 Duo performance, Excellent overclocking at stock memory settings, Fully SLI Ready, A BIOS that is an enthusiasts dream, SLI™ certified, Extremely stable, Excellent passive cooling on the North and Southbridge, Built by NVIDIA®, Fu...
  • Poor location for front panel headers, Mislabeled SATAports either on motherboard is still an issue, Lacks the lifetime warranty provided by other NVIDIA partners, Memory performance is somewhat lacking on this board
  • We can say now without any reservation that the XFX 680i SLI is in fact an NVIDIA produced 680i SLI reference board. It offers no unique qualities or hidden improvements over the boards released by the other NVIDIA partners back in October, 2006. So w...

  • Extrait:  NVIDIA’s 5-series chipsets created quite a buzz last year, however, was limited (mostly) to the AMD platform – the rules changed, however with the 6-series which were initially quite expensive. Not too many weeks ago, it released the 680-serie...

  • Stability through stresses any gamer would experience; Easy overclocking through the nTune utility; Clean layout with plenty of space during installation; Gives gamers the options they need without making them pay for the options they dont.
  • A little light on the BIOS options; Couldnt connect all FireWire and USB headers to the board.
  • If you?re looking for a new gaming board and you want to go Intel, the XFX nForce 680i LT is a great choice.

  • Okay, so XFX is now becoming a fully fledged member of the motherboard community, that said and done what's next? XFX will most likely remain outside the R&D field when it comes to their motherboards and will let parent partner NVIDIA do the developmen...

  • The inability to use "wide bodied" coolers because of northbridge cooler, The northbridge and southbridge get very warm during overclocking, Poor location for front panel headers
  • When the Intel Core 2 Duo processor was first to the public sector IMHO an entirely new generation began for the consumer enthusiast and hardcore gamer. Almost all initial motherboard releases for this product were somewhat less than auspicious in the...

  • Extrait:  The 680i chipset has two Achilles heels. Crippling both heels usually brings someone down, but in this case it only made it limp slightly compared to the 965 boards – the rest of its muscles so to speak more than good enough to hold it up.The weakne...
