  • Extrait:  In our comparison tables, meanwhile you find benchmark values regarding 43 recent Z97 and Z87 motherboards. Furthermore we do not comment the benchmark values. The idea and also the goal is to present to you a market overview which helps you choose the ri...

  • Extrait:  On 1 June 2013, Intel introduced the fourth generation of its Core processors , also known as Haswell. That day we published a group test of 33 motherboards, but as the prices weren't known at the time, it wasn't possible to draw accurate conclusions ye...

  • Good performance at stock speeds, Good connectivity, Bluetooth and N, spec WLAN
  • Confusing BIOS, Not great for overclockers, Single HDMI
  • Throw in both Bluetooth and N-spec WLAN, and you've got yourself a nice package and one of the better Intel boards in recent memory, but not one we'd want to buy. We won't exactly be dancing on Intel's grave, but nor will we be shedding too many tears...

  • At time of writing we didn't have a firm price for the DZ87KL-75K and nor was it on sale so in a rare event for us we won't be concluding in our usual style or offering any scores. If the situation changes then we will of course update this review. Judgin...

  • Extrait:  We've seen a mixed reaction to Intel's new Haswell CPU and LGA1150 socket from enthusiasts. Some, like us, see it as a solid piece of hardware with welcome improvements for the platform if upgrading from older hardware. Others have unfurled “Don't Reboot ...

  • Answering the question we asked at the beginning of this review, the Intel DZ87KLT-75K is indeed an example for other mainboard makers. The flagship of Intel’s LGA1150 mainboard series, it not only makes full use of the Z87 chipset’s capabilities but ...

  • The Intel DZ87KLT-75K is a good option for to the user who wants to build a system for audio and video editing, as you can tell by the presence of a Thunderbolt port, two FireWire ports, and a high-end audio codec that provides very high signal-to-noise r...

  • MSATA and Thunderbolt connectors, Includes legacy PS/2 and FireWire ports, Case-mountable Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module, Nice-looking design for windowed PC chassis
  • Only HDMI, mini-DisplayPort connectors for using on-chip video, No SATA cables or USB-port modules/brackets (for use with headers) in the box
  • Intel’s DZ87KLT-75K for its own Haswell CPUs looks sharp and has a solid-enough feature set, aside from its unusual display-connector choices. But it’s a bit expensive for what it offers, compared to certain Z87-chipset boards from MSI and Asus. ...

  • Thunderbolt, 6 Native SATA 6G Ports, Crossfire and SLI ready, mSATA, 6 Native USB ports on I/O, Power and Reset Button on Motherboard, CMOS Speaker onboard, Aesthetically Pleasing Heatsinks
  • Two fan headers directly towards center of motherboard directly behind Thunderbolt, Visual BIOS 2 can be hard to navigate for a novice, Occasional instability on reboots
  • Intel has come a long way with motherboard progression since I began reviewing in the Stone Age. They have added features to their motherboards that were only once found on partner boards. Increased density of their heatsinks equate to better cooling an...
