Extrait: It’s late, you’re tired and the couch is calling your name. It’s time for a movie. Oops, you forgot to mail back those darn Netflix envelopes—they’ve been sitting there for days! You could get up and venture out into the world. Then again, the couch i...
Rent or buy videos without going to the video store. RF remote works without line-of-sight and is simple to use. Can order movies via iPhone App or Web interface.
Occasional video problems. HD titles require leadtime to download. No option for streaming or playback of your own video files. TV selection is lacking. Catalog search is limited to registered owners.
For avid movie renters, Vudu is a great solution, provided you can put up with the painfully short 24-hour rental window and arbitrary rental availability imposed by movie studios. Purchasing content is a leap of faith in both the longevity of your ha...
This Vudu unit is extremely simple to setup and use. The remote control is completely intuitive so don't even bother reading the instructions as there is no reason to, I was amazed at how quickly I could begin watching the movie that I just rented. There is just no way that I should be able to stream a 1080p movie quicker than I can download a .pdf file, The user interface was one of the best
I would like to be able to access movies that I rented or purchased at different locations. For example if you bought a movie and downloaded it to the Vudu box at your home, then decided you wanted to watch it on the Vudu box at your lake house you would have to either pay for it again or take the box with you. I feel that it should be accessible from any location.
This is a fantastic product and one that I did not want to return. It completely changed the way my wife and I watched movies. It easily one of the most convenient devices I have ever used and found myself making more time for movie watching. I can hig...
Extrait: Vudu rocks. It truly brings the movie store to your living room. It’s easy to use. It has no lines to wait in, no screaming kids to have to listen to and avoid stepping on, no fighting traffic and burning $4-a-gallon gasoline. The Vudu box is about the...
Audio/video performance aside, the Vudu system is designed for convenience and instant delivery -- in that sense, it’s a great system that delivers on its promise of being the best movie-on-demand service out there. You can join Netflix and pay less...
Extrait: Fill it up with movies, not pins. Regular readers of Home Theater might know that I also write the “Top 100 DVDs of All Time” article each year, which means that I have at least 8.3-dozen discs at home. And those discs tend to pile up. But how...
Extrait: Lets just forget services like HBO and Showtime, the movies are old and the schedules are awful. There is always the local movie rental house, but they never seem to have the movie I want when I want it, and I always forget to return them on time, ra...
Extrait: Vudu Review Posted on: March 03, 2008 The vudu is an elegant black box that promises to keep you far away from any DVD rental store. It is a “movie on demand” box for which the prices range from $.99 to $3.99. There is also an option to buy mo...
Large storage capacity. Intuitive interface. Excellent remote. Large initial library of more than 5,000 titles. No subscription fees.
Lacks internal wireless capabilities. Cant manage content manually. No option to stream media from a PC. No way to transfer music to portable devices. Only 24-hour movie rentals. Small library of HD content.
The VUDU sets the bar high for what an on-demand, set-top rental solution should be. With a slick interface, impressive performance, and a deep selection of initial movie offerings, VUDU starts off on the right foot and may give Apple TV a run for its ...
Extrait: VUDUs self-titled set-top-box has certainly made quite the name for itself in the few short months that it has been on the market. Whether or not that name is positive one, however, is most certainly up for debate. Soon after launching at $399, review...
