Su experiencia de juego, muy parecida a Super Mario Galaxy, Frenético e intenso con zonas de velocidad y multitud de enemigos, El uso constante y perfecto entre mundos 2D y 3D, Un port muy bien adaptado, Su gran abanico de diseños y colorido.
La jugabilidad con teclado se hace tediosa, Falta de más velocidad para sentirnos realmente como Sonic, Las peleas contra los villanos no suponen ningún problema, Falta del modo multijugador local.
