  • Extrait:  There’s trouble a-brewing on Yoshi’s Island, and it’s up to our green(or pink, yellow, blue, purple, red) friend to save the day, again. The evil MagiKoopa has taken a fancy to kidnapping babies, and he sends his minions to steal all of the babies on Y...

  • Some very creative level design; fun and satisfying 2D platforming gameplay; great artistic style; challenging without being overly frustrating; plays just like the original Yoshi’s Island.
  • Feels like a watered down version of the original Yoshis Island; the "Dead Zone" between the two screens can cause some frustration; not that big of a leap in graphics.
  • For those expecting more of the same platforming greatness that they found in the original Yoshis Island, youll most likely love this game. For those expecting more of an evolution of an 11 year old game, you may be somewhat disappointed.

  • Extrait:  Freud would have plenty to say about Nintendos fascination with childhood. Not only does the companys business encourage us to revert back to that playful state of juvenility cruelly stolen by the responsibilities of adulthood, its now forcing its g...

  • Extrait:  I have a question for all those Yoshi fans out there; did the name Artoon scare you away when it was announced by Nintendo who would be the developer for Yoshi’s Island DS? You must have heard about about Artoon’s brilliant history somewhere i...

  • Extrait:  The oh-so-adorable dinosaur is back in all his reptilian glory. This time, Yoshi and his cute pals Baby Mario, Peach, Wario, and DK must save a kidnapped Luigi from Magikoopa Kamek and his menacing flying fortress.

  • Extrait:  The story – never really the focus in Mario games – once again takes place on the peaceful Yoshi’s Island. Having rescued Baby Mario and Luigi from the clutches of Kamek and Baby Bowser (as documented in the original Yoshi’s Island...

  • Extrait:  As one would expect with a Nintendo published platformer that uses one of their franchise characters, Yoshi’s Island DS is a very colorful game. Some of the levels have a very pastel look and each level is cleverly drawn. Of course the game is 2D ba...

  • However, despite small annoyances, Yoshis Island 2 is fun and light-hearted play. A tongue of praise to Yoshis Island 2 for not only remaining true to the classical style but also adding new elements to keep things fresh.
