  • Extrait:  Humax, a major Korean maker of digital TV receivers, has re-entered the Australian market after an absence of some years, beginning initially with a single offering, this HD twin-tuner personal video recorder, available in two versions. Here we are lookin...

  • Twin tuners, Excellent network streaming, Two USB 2.0 ports
  • Some USB drives didn't work
  • The Humax HDR-7500T is one of the best digital set-top box and PVR on the Australian market. Not only can it be used to record and play back free-to-air TV, it can also be used to stream videos and music from network locations and direct-connected USB dri...

  • Ad-skipping; IceTV; iView; DLNA
  • Limited storage management; no Samba, $449 (500GB); $549 (1TB)
  • iView and DLNA, along with IceTV compatibility, earn Humax’s HDR-7500T automatic entry into the shortlist for Australian PVR shoppers. But if you’re after a PVR which ‘just works’, weigh up IceTV devices against the TiVo and Foxtel iQ2.Related Tags: bu...

  • Dual tuners. iView and DLNA capability. Ad-skipping
  • Remote is poorly laid out. Significantly less function unless you pay for IceTV. Quirky DLNA performance
  • Humax's HDR-7500T is a solid performer if you're after a PVR, but for ease of use it's still got a long way to go to unseat TiVo....

  • The new low cost Humax is the best of the DVR bunch. The level of recording flexibility, immaculate onscreen presentation, slick operation and extensive feature list (with more to come) make it an irresistible proposition that its rivals can’t match. This is an excellent DVR which unlike a lot of other offerings can be purchased online at www.icetv.com.au for $499 Vs $649 for the new Topfield Mas
  • I would like to have seen the mute button right next to the volume control as opposed to being located at the top of the remote. The device only has one USB port which makes running an extend storage device and wireless difficult. wireless should have been built in freeing up the USB port. What I suggest is that you buy a USB port so that you can attach both the Wi Fi Dongle and additional storage
