The HiLite is a free-standing fully portable background that folds to a lightweight, carry-friendly package. You can rig up a light inside then, using a flash at the front, shoot your chose subject in “hi-key” style: lit from front and back, with a pure, bright, shadow-free white background. You can also substitute the light for a second flashgun, essentially turning the HiLite into a giant softb
Getting the lighting looking right on the HiLite can take a bit of time and/or practice, so despite its portability the background might not be the “quick fix” solution it first seems. It can also be a tad tricky to fold down: so you’ll need to consult the Lastolite website’s video section for a tutorial.
