It's important to remember that our evaluation and criticisms of the Xperia Z5 are in relation to one of the better smartphone cameras presently available and one rated very similarly to the Z5, that of the Galaxy S6. While there are instances where the Z...

Slight AF-inconsistencies, Low-quality panorama output, HDR mode not too efficient at highlight preservation, 4K video is separate mode, Unintuitive camera app structure (but slight improvement from previous versions), Opening app via button defaults to S
The Sony Xperia Z5 produces very good still image and video quality across the board and with its angular shapes and dedicated camera button offers ergonomics that, on a smartphone, come as close as it gets to a real camera. The device is let down by an u...
Viewed in isolation, the Sony Xperia Z5 is a great phone which excels in almost every area. It packs plenty of processing power, RAM and storage, while MicroSD expandability is a real plus compared with the iPhone and Galaxy S6. The Z5's screen is also b...
Extrait: “Can you review the Xperia Z5? ” asked several colleagues. And with that, I requested for a review unit from Sony Singapore. I believe many consumers have had great experiences with the Xperia Z series, myself included. But most of the Z5 reviews I read o...

Rightfully a flagship device, the standard Z5 is always going to be in the shadow of the Premium, super-flagship. But for a piece of hardware like this, available on Amazon for $565 or so, that shouldn't be too much to worry about if you're not too bother...
Above average 23megapixel camera, Modern waterproof body, Fluid performance, Above average battery
Low displaytosize ratio, Uncalibrated color on the screen, Average screen brightness
The Sony Xperia Z5 is one of the most powerful smartphones released in the second half of 2015. Its biggest selling-points are the fantastic design finish and the 23-megapixel camera. While a few quibbles can be made about the Z5's color calibration and...
Fingerprint Reader The position of the reader is exactly where the thumb on my right hand sits and it works 90% of the time. Having it integrated with the power button is a smart move, Camera Sony's new image sensor and recently updated camera app work to
Volume Rocker Placement The placement of the volume rocker on the lower third of the device makes for awkward use
The Sony Z5 is a very good device. However, it enters the market at a time when there are a myriad of very good handsets, and several excellent ones, many of which cost less than the Z5. It's also very difficult to purchase a Z5 in the US, as no carriers...

CPU and GPU throttling, location of the volume rocker, no replaceable battery, mediocre front camera, Quick Charger costs extra, mediocre writing and reading performance
After the review of the Sony Xperia Z3+ we wanted a very good flagship device from Sony that is actually ready for the market. Our wish was granted by the Japanese developers. How did they pull it off? Well, they eliminated the biggest issues, starting wi...
Optimum for onehanded usage, Fast, easytoreach fingerprint sensor, Powerful hardware, DualSIM support
Notsodifferent design, Gets hot quickly, Average battery life, An expensive proposition
Sony's Xperia Z series is the best example of refined improvements. With each generation, the devices have become better than their previous iteration. In its sixth generation, the latest offering the from the Japanese electronics giant brings forth loade...

The best water resistant design yet. Great camera with superb accuracy and detail. Sony resisted moving to 1440p, resulting in decent performance. Includes a microSD card slot.
Disappointing battery life. The Snapdragon 810 runs warm. Display isn't too accurate. Didn't launch with Android 6.0 onboard, and Sony's update history is poor.
