The ASUS ZenFone 5 is an excellent mid-range smartphone with a terrific cost/benefit ratio. It is as resourceful as the Sony Xperia T3 (which is more expensive), and costs as much as the Motorola Moto G, famous for its excellent price point...

With the game changing for below 10k smartphones in India, Asus made a quite significant impact with the Zenfone 5 in this segment. There are Zenfone 4 in the sub 7k segment and Zenfone 6 in the above 15k segment but the Zenfone 5 is perfectly suited for...

Large, decent quality display punches well above its weight. Good performance from the Intel components. Fantastic value for a 5inch, dualSIM handset.
Mediocre camera in most conditions. Subpar battery life. Minor issues with the stockstandard smartphone design.
Many of the aspects of the Zenfone 5’s software are identical to what was seen on the Asus MeMO Pad 7 , just scaled down for the smaller display. That’s because both devices use Asus’ ZenUI atop Android, although the Zenfone 5 is still stuck on Android 4....
Stylish looks, Smooth performance, Lovely display, Featureloaded and capable snapper, Freshlooking UI with tons of useful features, Host of handy apps
The design's mainstay, the concentric circle pattern, is prone to scratches, Average battery life

7.0 The Zenfone 5 has a lot of great qualities from hardware to software but the laggy performance will be hard to overcome. So unless ASUS addresses it with a software update, I would hold off on making a purchase for now....
