  • Top notch keyboard (optional addon), great battery life, plenty of input options, sleek yet sturdy design and a solid Windows 8 experience. Relatively good value.
  • Clover Trail processor already feels dated. Paired with the keyboard 'stand' the ThinkPad Tablet 2 isn't suited for use in anything other than solid surfaces (i.e. not your lap).
  • Like it or not, Windows 8 on a tablet is a liberating experience, particularly if you've ever felt boxed in by Android or iOS. Even if you haven't, Windows 8 tablets are kind of the Swiss Army knife of mobile computing -- they essentially run anything you...

  • Lenovo's ThinkPad Tablet 2 is a well-made tablet, but unfortunately it's hamstrung by a weak processor and unimaginative hardware that does little to separate it from the pack. The Tablet 2 does an admirable job maintaining the ThinkPad's reputation fo...

  • The build quality, specifications and performance of the ThinkPad Tablet 2 don't match its high price. The inclusion of a stylus makes Windows easier to manage and the battery life is better than faster Windows tablets. But it's not enough to warrant any ...

  • OEMs love tablets, like phones, because there's plenty of opportunity add on accessories. Lenovo's $99 ThinkPad Tablet Dock is a cradle that makes it convenient to use the Tablet 2 as a more traditional PC, offering multiple USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, and...

  • Extrait:  PC manufacturers were thrown off by Windows 8 and its new touch-friendly face, which has given the PC industry what it needed to bring the PC forward into the mobile device space. The PC's long term success hinges on its ability to evolve, both in form fa...

  • The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 was the company's attempt to create a new version of their original tablet equipped with Windows 8, but unfortunately, its specs and its overall experience gave us the feeling of a low-budget tablet, even though this particula...

  • Excellent design and build quality, Digitizer pen, IPS touchscreen with good viewing angles, Fullsize USB 2.0 port
  • Keyboard is an optional extra, Wired Ethernet on optional dock only, Moderate performer, Expensive
  • As with any slate tablet, you're really going to need the optional (£103/$120) keyboard dock (left) to get laptop-like functionality out of the ThinkPad Tablet 2. Although that makes it an expensive option, the ThinkPad Tablet 2's physical design is excel...

  • Clover Trail runs all of your desktop apps without making the tablet too large, heavy, or hot, Build quality, Digitizer and pen provide a secondary, more accurate input option for heavy desktop users, Good battery life, Decent array of ports and expansion
  • Keyboard layout itself is good, but dock doesn't allow for multiple screen angles and doesn't extend the tablet's battery life, "Optical TrackPad" works well enough, but isn't our favorite input method, 2GB of RAM and Clover Trail's relatively slow perfor
  • Provided that you're comfortable with Windows 8 and with Clover Trail's limitations, the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is the best option on the market right now. The build quality is good, the digitizer and stylus helps in the cases where the seams between the Start...
