Incredibly thin yet surprisingly sturdy; new trackpad gesture controls are very useful; remote optical drive makes living without a built-in drive much easier.
Very limited connectivity; slower than other MacBooks; SSD hard-drive option is ridiculously expensive and standard hard drive is small; battery is not user replaceable.
The design is revolutionary, but Apples MacBook Air will appeal to a smaller, more specialized audience than the standard MacBook, thanks to a stripped-down set of connections and features.

Extrait: We learned all about the MacBook Air just a few days ago, but a few people have been playing with the device at least that long. Today three major publications, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and USA Today posted their Air reviews. The testing was ...
Extrait: The MacBook Air is driving me insane. I want it like no other hardware. It's thin, yea, ok, we know this. And many power users have been bitching for more: 3G, bigger storage, more USB ports, and an internal drive. If you feel that way, this computer...
Extrait: Apple finally has entered the subnotebook market, introducing a lightweight laptop meant to please road warriors. But, typical of Apple, the company took a different approach from its competitors. The result is a beautiful, amazingly thin computer, but...
Extrait: As I entered the Macworld Expo last week I was awestruck. In front of me was a tremendous display blaring Thinnovation. The crowd gathered with jaws dropped. It was the new Macbook Air, Apple’s new ultra thin, ultra light weight computer. I have to sa...
Extrait: The latest version of FileMaker’s venerable database adds Leopard compatibility. But the interface is the same as it has been for years and while FileMaker is one of the simplest databases on any platform, that’s only simple compared to other database...
Thinnest laptop on the market. Simply gorgeous. Amazing 13-inch display on a 3-pound chassis. Full-size keyboard. Doesnt load ultra-low-voltage processors. Eco-friendly. Gesture-enabled touchpad. Reasonable prices.
Only one USB port, three ports total. No ExpressCard or card-reader option. Battery is not user upgradable. Productivity may take a hit with only 3 hours of battery life running Vista.
The MacBook Air is officially the thinnest laptop, and the lightest of those with a 13-inch screen. But there were compromises that had to be made....
Extrait: The Macbook Air is the thinnest laptop on the market, but did Apple sacrifice too much in the sleek ultraportable? Philip Berne has impressions live from Macworld.
Extrait: I’ve had my MacBook Air for 15 days now. It has been serving as my primary computer and I have used it to do everything I usually do with my MacBook Pro. I’ll cover how it has stacked up to the MBP in this review in addition to how the MacBook...
