  • If youre uncertain about whether to get an AirPort Extreme, or a Time Capsule, look at it this way. An AirPort Extreme base station costs £119. The entry-level Time Capsule gives you all of the features of the base station and 500GB of built-in stora...

  • Great idea, neat and tidy backup solution, large hard drive, easy to use, no maintenance required once you’ve set it up
  • Hourly backups are too often, wireless bakup is time-consuming, Gigabit Ethernet file transfer is markedly slow
  • Time Capsule seems ideally suited for a home network that hasn’t yet upgraded to an 802.11n wireless network (and, thus, doesn’t yet have a new AirPort Extreme Base Station). Time Capsule is a big improvement for such networks, although the £1...

  • Easy to install, easy to manage, backups without you having to think about it
  • Time Machine only available for Mac users, cant mirror hard drives for security
  • Time Capsule takes away that need to remember - so as long as you are connected to the network youll be backing up without knowing it

  • Extrait:  Time Capsule takes the functions of an AirPort Extreme base station and adds an internal disk that allows Time Machine to back up over a network. Since it was announced in January, many have been eager to take advantage of wireless backups - a feature ...

  • Clean design; good deal for DraftN router and 500GB or 1TB of storage; low maintenance data backup for Mac users; extensibility via USB port
  • Only average networking performance; few advanced storage features beyond backup capabilities, and those only for Mac users
  • Apples hybrid 802.11n wireless router/networked hard drive offers some powerful data backup features for Mac owners, as well as Apples typical pleasing design. Windows users and anyone who demands speed from their 802.11n network will be disappointe...

  • Extrait:  Ever had that moment, when you fired up your Mac and something just wasn’t right? A key file was missing, or maybe the drive itself was on its way to the big bit bucket in the sky? The shaking starts, the irrational panic follows next and, sometimes...

  • Designed for Time Machine (but works with other backup systems, too), Supports multiple Macs, Works with PCs, Builtin AirPort base station with 802.11n wireless capabilities, Servergrade hard drive
  • Hard drive is not easily user replaceable, Less expensive NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices are available, No external antenna options
  • The pros outweigh the cons, especially for Leopard users who rely on Time Machine for backups . You can back up your home computers and create a reliable home-wide wireless network, all with a single Time Capsule....
