  • Vastly improved transfer speeds, Sleek, portable design, Affordable (more so after October price drop), Backward compatible with microUSB cables
  • Not the speediest competitor in USB 2.0 mode
  • Iomega’s amped-up eGo doubles data transfer rates with USB 3.0....

  • Extremely fast over USB 3.0, still speedy over USB 2.0, PlugandPlay simplicity, Iomega Protection Suite is a nice little extra,

That said, if you don't have a laptop with built-in USB 3.0 ports or a USB 3.0 adapter card, there isn't much advantage in buying this $120 drive instead of the cheaper ($90) USB 2.0 eGo portable drives. At the end of the day it's hard to complain too much about a solid little hard drive that doe

  • The Iomega eGO Portable USB 3.0 looks great due to its elegant case and with the competitive MB/euro ratio, in terms of price. The drive can be used versatile via USB 2.0 and even on a Mac. Not everyone will like the difficult to care for and, in comparis...

  • USB 3.0, 256-bit AES encryption
  • Encryption utility didn't detect our drive first go, slow read speed in our small file transfer tests
  • The Iomega eGo is a portable USB 3.0 hard drive with a 500GB capacity. It looks good and it ships with encryption software, which means your data can be protected in the event that your drive is lost or stolen. However, its performance was a mixed bag in...

  • Extrait:  Portable drives demand less space than desktop models, and since they don't require a separate power cable they're more convenient to carry around. We've long been fans of Iomega's eGo range, an elegant series of drives in various colours. All portable dr...

  • If you have a USB 3.0 enabled system then this would be the perfect addition for all your portable storage needs. In the absence of that, you’ll have a Clark Kent drive that works fine using USB 2.0, but ready to turn into Superman once your structure...
