  • Multi-sports tracking including swimming, ANT+ sensor compatibility, Street price now very reasonable
  • Chunky design compared to recent smartwatches, 32MB memory is still not very much if you add maps, Low screen resolution
  • The Garmin fenix 2 looks quite functional compared to the most recent glitzy smartwatches, but it still offers a comprehensive ability to track your activities across multiple sports...

  • Wide, ranging feature set, decent battery life so long as you leave off the notifications, Olympic, grade sensor array and GPS reliability (despite slow lock, on for the latter)
  • Feels overpriced and out of date, hefty build, should be superseded by Fenix 3 by March/April 2015
  • If you can pick this up at a discount once the Fenix 3 arrives, or are a trail runner who prioritises features over usability, get stuck in. If not, there are better running watches out there for the same price or less...

  • Handsome, ruggedly clean design, Smart Notifications (email, texts, and caller ID), Swim track with stroke identification, Ski and Snowboard run tracking, Water Resistant to 50 meters, Surprisingly light for its size
  • Steep learning curve, No smartphone control over watch functionality, Bluetooth turns off when ANT+ sensors are connected, No Tide Charts, GPS spotty in open water
  • First and foremost, the fenix 2 is a great watch. It looks good from a distance and up close. It feels solid on the wrist, and presents the time, day, and date on a large easy-to-read digital face. It resists water to 50 meters so we could shower, surf, ...

  • Super tracking, Immense stats, Fearsome battery life, Rugged build quality
  • Chunky design, No built in heart rate monitor, Hefty price tag, Screen can be a tad dim,
  • One the most complete watches in terms of features and tracking, the Fenix 2 is perfect for lovers of the outdoors that want to track all their adventures. The high price will put off many and chunky build means it's not a purchase for every day life, but...

  • Simply put, the workout data you can get from this thing is second to none. I love the more advanced running metrics, and being able to monitor my cadence in real time helps ensure my form stays solid when my legs are starting to burn. The swimming data i
  • The apps and website are both a mess. It's extremely difficult to load maps and routes onto the watch. I found it to be unreliable in navigational situations. While it did help sometimes, it wasn't something I could count on. I also experienced some rando
  • In general, I think this watch is awesome, but it depends what you're into. If you're just a casual runner, then this is definitely overkill. Or if you want a watch for navigating backcountry, then this isn't it (check out the upcoming Suunto Ambit 3 inst...

  • Best.running.watch...ever, Extremely accurate GPS, Easy to use interface/OS, Packs a great deal of tech into a smartlooking, not too big watch, Does basic and advanced functions very well, Can begin running before the watch locks into all the satellites o

  • Make no doubt about it, I'm impressed with where the Garmin Fenix team has brought the Fenix over the last 2 years, culminating in the Fenix2. Many triathletes have asked Garmin to make a watch that doesn't look like a bulky computer on their wrist, but s...
