  • Extrait:  Sony arrived late to the straight-to-YouTube camcorder party, with Webbie -- a cute, but flawed rotating head cam. With no pop-out USB interface or SD Card compatibility, it simply couldn't compete. Bloggie, on the other hand, is getting VIP access on ...

  • Difficult to use singlehandedly. Controls are unintuitive and slow to respond. Included PC software is limited

  • 270 degree rotating lens, 1080p HD video at 30fps, 720p at 60fps and an SD card for expansion,
  • Poor still pictures, no built in flash: no HDMI port, no optical zoom and short record time (30 min).

  • Extrait:  The Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5 is a pocket HD camcorder with an impressive lineup of features (on paper at least). Inside the camera is a sensor capable of 5MP photos, 1080P "full HD" video, SD(HC) and Memory Stick Duo card support, one-touch uploads and a b...

  • Rotating lens; 1080p, 720p, VGA video options; one-touch video uploading to YouTube, MySpace, and Facebook; removable lithium ion rechargeable battery
  • No Mac support for Picture Motion Browser software, no HDMI output, mono mic and no input for an external mic
  • Sony gains ground against the minicamcorder competition with the Bloggie MHS-PM5, but its software and overall video quality keep it from moving ahead.

  • Extrait:  Unfortunately, the bloggie does not have the ability to use an external microphone. This would have added greatly to its usability and sound quality. Oftentimes, tradeoffs are made in the battle between smaller devices and the quality of their images. Smaller lenses and...
