  • Where the NX100 was aimed squarely at the compact camera owner wanting to upgrade to something more capable, the more serious and sober NX200 is appealing to the more experienced photographer looking for a more compact alternative to a DSLR, whilst no...

  • Extrait:  The Samsung NX200 makes a strong showing in the compact mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera category with a camera that is intuitive and captures great images. The NX200 is a well-built camera and now sports a handgrip for better handling. The...

  • Excellent low ISO image quality, ease of use, OLED screen, iFn lenses
  • Lowlight focusing issues, Raw processing is slow, poor battery life, no EVF available
  • The NX200 is a big step beyond the NX100. The design and layout don't disappoint and the camera is a breeze to use. Image quality is also phenomenal at the lower ISO settings - something we didn't anticipate considering the high resolution - and high I...

  • i-Function lenses make controlling settings easy; gorgeous AMOLED display
  • No in-body stabilisation; no dedicated video button, $799 (18-55mm lens)
  • Impressive from a technical standpoint and image quality is fantastic. But the limited selection of i-Function lenses hold it back.Related Tags: camera, compact, macworld, macworld australia, NX-200, photo, photography, review, samsung Be Sociable, Sh...

  • With excellent photos for a sub-$1,000 model and a nicely designed user interface, the Samsung NX200 is a compelling option for image-first photographers
  • For its price, the NX200 feels light on important features; it lacks an option for a viewfinder, and it cries out for an articulated LCD. And while its shooting performance is fine, in-camera operations like playback and changing settings can get held up
  • The Samsung NX200's photo quality stands out from the crowd, but its performance and features -- while good -- don't merit its relatively high price....

  • Fun range of creative filters. Decent video recording and full manual control. Excellent AMOLED screen
  • No viewfinder option or accessory port. No image stabilisation in 20-50mm kit lens. High ISO images are very noisy
  • The NX200 is an interchangeable lens compact that ticks plenty of boxes, but loses points on performance and a lack of options....

  • The strong metal body. Jpegs from the camera lack zap — something fixed with the custom style setting. RAW capture produces noticeably better pictures than jpeg. It is worth the effort.
  • The time taken to process images is intolerably long and results in locking up certain functions. It is frustrating to see the word “Processing” on the screen and not be able to make control adjustments. Aggressive noise reduction at low ISO can't be turn
  • This is a well made, good looking camera that is small and light enough to suit anyone put off a DSLR by its bulk and weight. It produces decent images and it is designed for customers who are beyond point-and-shoot. It faces stiff competition from the Pa...

  • Snappy AF performance in good light, New iFunction technology, Improved build quality and ergonomics, Good range of digital filters, Expanding range of available lenses
  • Short battery life, Occasional slight inaccuracies with WB and metering, Slower performance in low light and when shooting raw files, No viewfinder option
  • Available in two different kit lens combinations - either with a 20-50mm or 18.55mm zoom lens - the price at the time of the Samsung NX200's launch seems reasonable, at £699 in the UK, and $899 in the US. While by no means cheap, the cost is on a par with...

  • APS-C large sized sensor, Good auto focus and manual focus, Very good noise reduction for a 20MP sensor, Great resolution from the JPEG engine, Good OIS, Great feature set including, filters, frames, panorama and more, Auto exposure bracketing option avai
  • No built-in flash, Face detection not the greatest, Clips to white fairly quickly, detail not recoverable in RAW, Uses a Samsung proprietary NX lens mount, No connector for external microphone, No external viewfinder option, Included Kit lens 18-55 f3.5-f
  • A couple of years ago, I never would have recommended a Samsung camera to a person who was serious about photography, but things have changed. The NX200 is proof that Samsung is getting serious about photography and they have really stepped up their game ...
