I really enjoyed using the K200D. It is logical to handle and its build quality means I’d be happy to use it in harsher conditions. The images I got from the camera also were very pleasing, especially considering previous exposure problems with othe...
Extrait: The new PENTAX K200D dSLR is designed for the novice photographer. Yet it includes many advanced features including a 10.2-megapixel CCD sensor, a weather-resistant body and in-body anti shake & dust removal systems. As the replacement for the K100D th...

Sensor-shift image stabilization; wireless flash control; sensitivity-priority mode; dust and water resistant.
Inaccurate, though still pleasing colors; tends to underexpose images; no live view mode.
Pentaxs K200D entry-level SLR gives a lot of bang for the buck and has better performance than last years model. Despite low noise and pleasingly detailed images, technically inaccurate colors keep it from capturing the gold medal for image quality.
Extrait: The latest entry level model from Pentax is the K200D, replacing last years K100D Super. Rather than being a complete new camera the K200D is more an upgrade, but is not without some interesting and very useful features. Not least amongst these is the wea...
Extrait: Pentax is the Rodney Dangerfield of camera companies—they just don’t get any respect. The fact they operate on a shoestring budget, have recently been taken over by lens-maker Hoya and have as much clout with your local mega-retailer as I...
Solid AF performance for an entrylevel cam, Good battery life with the right cells, Rugged, allweather construction, Highquality kit lens,
Menus awkward at times, Heavy and large for a consumer cam, ISO 1600 a bit weak, Continuous shooting still slow, Pentax K200D
What to make of the K200D, on balance? It's an unquestionably solid camera, and I generally found its straight-from-camera images rich, vibrant, and (with the right settings) smooth – all the reasons we buy DSLRs. Visually and functionally, the camera...

Sensitivities up to IS1600 with low noise, great colour balance, sensor-based stabilisation, dust reduction
Some detail lost in HDR shooting, some minor under-sharpening The Final Word Pentaxs K200D may not quite be enough to topple the Nikon and Canon empire in the entry-level SLR space, but it is a very solid alternative. It combines image stabilisation a...
Pentaxs K200D may not quite be enough to topple the Nikon and Canon empire in the entry-level SLR space, but it is a very solid alternative. It combines image stabilisation and dust reduction with some impressive images and a great build.
Extrait: with Pentax 18-55 mm lens$1200Keeps the others honest This is a 10-megapixel evolution from the K100D Super with many of the same features - sensor-shift image stabilisation, dust removal, rugged construction and good ergonomics. No essential f...
