Excellent image quality. Love-it or hate-it design. The 40mm pancake lens is ridiculously slim. Can use old Pentax K-mount lenses without an adapter
Frustrating autofocus issues. Might be too chunky for some people's hands. Video quality not up to par
The K-01 hits the ball out of the park when it comes to image quality, but its operational quirks and slower-than-a-glacier shooting speeds will frustrate....
The Pentax K-01 has a style all its own and it's a fun camera to use. Some people may find it to be too bulky and cumbersome, but equally, we think many people will appreciate the hefty size and very sturdy build quality. It can produce clear and vibra...
This is a perplexing camera. The point of the compact-system category is to get DSLR image quality in a smaller body. Removing the mirror and prism makes sense if the maker takes advantage of the ability to move the rear element of the lens closer to the...

The K5, from which the K01 is derived, is an excellent camera, so the fundamentals of the K01 are fine. Colour and exposure are good.
The kit lens autofocus is slow, noisy and imprecise. Images are soft. This may be attributable to the kit lens or it could be because of the change from phase detection auto focus in the K5 to contrast detection in the K01. Other makers get better perform
This is a perplexing camera. The whole point of the compact system category is to get DSLR image quality in a smaller body. Removing the mirror and prism only makes sense if the maker takes advantage of the ability to move the rear element of the lens clo...

Good image quality, Compatible with Kmount lenses, Good build quality, Wide viewing angle LCD
Slow autofocus, Delay on shutter, Card door flops open, Odd placement of some controls
With current prices for the Pentax K-01 hovering around £680 in the UK and $900 in the US, this camera is about as inexpensive as it is compact. When compared to similarly specified competition, the price is a little dearer. Much of the competition, such ...
While the K-01 merits an Editor's Choice nomination for its imaging performance, the sluggish AF system in the review camera prevents us from recommending it wholeheartedly. We hope this flaw – and the body design faults we've identified – will be correct...
Extrait: Pentax is coming up with Pentax K-01, which is the largest mirror less camera in the market. Like all its previous products, this camera is expected to attract consumers with its efficient features. This gadget from Pentax is can gain impression at first ...
Extrait: After the Pentax Q, which left many interchangeable lens camera (ILC) fans puzzled over its small image sensor, the company has made the sensible move by launching the K-01, an ILC with an APS-C-sized sensor. The camera will also be bundled with a skin...
Works with Kmount lenses, Good image quality, Simple, clean design
Unique design may not appeal to everyone, Bulkier than other mirrorless system cameras, Heavy, Pricey
The Pentax K-01 delivers good image quality due to its 16-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, and offers great value if one considers the fact that it's the only mirrorless system camera on the market that can support an existing DSLR lens lineup without the nee...
