Image quality, especially in RAW, is good. Obviously the best pictures are taken when the zoom is set in its middle range, but with care the quality at 600mm is better than acceptable. If anything there is a slight over-sharpening which results in moire interference in fine detail such as bird feathers
The absence of an eye level viewfinder at this price is puzzling. It is not possible to hold a camera at arm’s length and keep it steady with a lens zoomed to 600mm.
