  • Good quality images and low noise, Tilting touchscreen, Wifi with NFC for sharing and remote control, Mic input and confident focusing for movies
  • No built-in viewfinder, Servo AF slows burst shooting down, Poor battery life. Little warning before expiry, Very limited selection of native EF-M lenses, No panorama or timelapse facility built-in, Continue: In depth
  • The EOS M3 is Canon's most serious mirrorless camera to date. It takes on board many of the issues with the original EOS M, makes a raft of improvements and ends up delivering an experience that's so much more satisfying - although as I discovered, still...

  • 24Mp APSC format sensor, Excellent interface, Plenty of control
  • Limited EFM mount lens range, Frustrating autofocus system, No viewfinder builtin
  • While the M3 is very capable, the 18-55mm kit limits detail resolution significantly and the autofocus system has a habit of focusing on the background rather than the subject...

  • The image quality, both in jpeg and RAW, is excellent. Up to ISO 3200 noise is not an issue. Even jpegs have fine noise reduction that doesn't degrade the image and when the large 24 million pixel image is reduced to A4 size for printing noise is invisibl
  • The eyelevel electronic viewfinder is an expensive option
  • This camera is not sold in the US because even though it has all the important features of a DSLR it doesn't have the size and ostentation. The image quality is the same as for the bigger Canons. The LCD gives more information in shooting mode than you ge...

  • A very well-designed mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, the EOS M3 offers high-quality photos
  • It's slow, with a relatively limited feature set for the price
  • The Canon EOS M3 offers DSLR-quality photos and decent performance, but its feature set is average and the dearth of lenses shows a lack of commitment by Canon....

  • Although the EOS M3 is better configured for photo enthusiasts, the lack of a built-in EVF remains a serious barrier to its acceptance as a serious enthusiast's or pro photographer's camera – even as a back-up body. The small buffer capacity for raw files...

  • Compact size, Good image stabilisation, Easy to use, Good touchscreen, Easy WiFi setup and connect
  • Slow focussing, Below-par low light performance, Limited dynamic range, Lacklustre build, Weighs heavier than comparison
  • The Canon EOS M3 brings a compact form-factor into the interchangeable lens category, along with decent daylight imaging. However, its low-light performance is below par, it has a limited dynamic range, renders high noise in ISO settings of 1000 and above...

  • Extrait:  With its focus on digital SLRs, Canon has been slower than its rivals in coming up with a solid mirrorless camera to fill a growing gap in the market. There's a reason – Canon has produced more than 110 million interchangeable EF Lenses used with its EOS...
