  • Extrait:  The Digital Rebel XSi’s self cleaning system works by shaking dust particles off of a filter near the image sensor. The dust is then trapped by an adhesive, preventing it from causing further problems. Cleaning is engaged each time the camera is powered up, shut down, or cleaned manually via the \"clean now\" function...

  • SD/SDHC card slot, live view LCD
  • Low maximum ISO setting NillSlightModeratePALPABLEExtreme
  • The update to the EOS Rebel XTi, the XSi sports a huge 3-inch live view LCD screen, the fastest burst mode on a Rebel to date (3.5 fps for up to 53 JPEGs and 6 RAWs). We were disappointed by the relatively low maximum ISO setting of ISO 1600, but the...

  • Extrait:  Whenever a new camera is released the inevitable question is "Should I get A, B or C", or sometimes "Should I upgrade from A to B"? Well, this time is no different. Im sure there will be lots of people asking "Should I get a Rebel XTi, XSi or 40D" ...

  • Good handling and image quality, Decent viewfinder and accurate Live View, Kit includes stabilised lens, PC remote control software supplied.
  • Live View not as fuss-free as Sony A350, Screen fixed in position, unlike A350, Some may find it too small and light, Tempting to upgrade further to EOS 40D.
  • As the successor to the best-selling DSLR of the last 18 months, there’s no doubt Canon’s new EOS 450D / Rebel XSi will shift by the bucket-load. There’s equally no doubt Canon has made many improvements over the earlier 400D / XTi which...

  • Hannah ThiemThe Rebel XSi seems to be a combination of the Rebel XTi and the EOS 40D, with a few new features of its own thrown into the mix. It has the basic form of the XTi with the same shutter speed range, the same flash sync speed and the same IS...

  • Extrait:  A significant overhaul and a great camera. At this price it’s the best all-round package on the market Canon’s budget DSLR range, starting with the EOS 300D, has been Canon’s best-selling DSLR since its launch back in 2004. At the ...

  • The underlying picture quality from the camera is superb. There is a wide dynamic range and noise is not an issue. Even out of focus, underexposed backgrounds are noise free. Auto white balance is generally good, except under incasdescent lights. The f...
  • Keep in mind that all of the above is praise for the camera body, not the lenses. The cheap kit lenses are not good enough for the body. When fitted with a good quality lens you see what the camera can really do.
  • Once again an entry level DSLR is let down by its kit lenses. However we did take the camera to an outdoor wedding and used the 55-250 lens exclusively and the combination was better than competent. Focus is a little erratic and the image stabilisation...

  • Extrait:  1650Competent entry-level SLR with so-so lenses This 12-megapixel camera is Canons cheapest DSLR. We tried the twin-lens kit with an 18-55 millimetre and a 55-250 millimetre lens. Camera and lenses use lots of plastic, so they are light but ins...
